Guess I need to put this at the top!

Because some of us are listing books that we've never read before and don't really know what they are about but heard it through a grape vine that they were good, and someone on this club may have already read the book and found it very inappropriate, or have other opinions about it; this is going to be the new set RULE!
I'm going to do a rating system and I hope it works. If you have already read one of the books listed then you are welcome to make a COMMENT (not a post) about the book.

This is how I would like the comments to look....
"I have read (book name) and this is my rating for it...(ratng)"
That's ALL!!!

Rating system:
EP: Extremely Poor
P: Poor
O: Okay
G: Good
EG: Extremely Good
E: Excellent

Now if the rating is above okay, then at the end of the month that the book is in you may write a post or comment about the book and what you thought of it. Please keep thoughts of the book for the months that they have been chosen for!!! If there is something seriously wrong with a book that someone has suggested then PLEASE EMAIL me with that problem and I will contact that person and let them know.
I really hope this works out and that you guys can agree with what I'm doing.
Thank you!
Mele

The Time Traveler's wife

May I make a suggestion?

I started reading the book, "The Time Traveler's Wife," and by the end of the first couple of chapters, there was sex, extreme profanity, and swearing.

I put it down because I had lost all interest in the plot as a result of all the offenses above.

I strongly suggest we read a different book to keep with Mele's (and my) request that the books remain within the standards of the club.

Thanks!
Katy Craner

I do have a suggestion for sometime! I borrowed a book from my sister because I felt bad for Josh that all I ever read what the Twilight series. It's an LDS Fiction entitled "The Secret Life of Brett Colton." It was wonderful! I cried through almost the whole thing and not because it was really that sad! I think it would be a great one if you enjoy a good book with a tidbit of the gospel thrown throughout!

I'm sorry if I have offended anyone with this post. I did't know of any other way to let the contents of the book be known to everyone without creating a new post. I know that if the contents had been known to the person choosing it (in the most general of terms), they would not have suggested it, for we all agreed to abide by the stamdards of the club. In future times, I agree with Sarah in our approach to resolving these matters: to just simply leave a comment briefly stating the suggested book is not appropriate. Again, I had NO malintent in this post and apologize if it offended anyone!!!
